1. Registration

1.1.What is the European conference and why should I participate?
The General Assembly (GA) forms the core of the conference and it is the place where the JCI officials and national presidents meet. It's also the place where the candidates for the next year present themselves in the caucus and are finally elected. The general assembly is public to all members. There are official training courses at the conference to further your personal development. During the Award Ceremony, outstanding members and chapters receive prizes for their activities. The best place to meet interesting people and enjoy some international flair is outside the official part of the conference. Discover new towns and take part in a great social program including parties at unconventional locations and the festive gala.
1.2.Where can I find the full program?
The program is printed in the conference booklet and is available on this website.
1.3.How can I register myself and my partner / children?
Just click the Register button on this website and follow the instructions. If you have registered in paper form, you will receive confirmation by e-mail with payment instructions. Your personal log-in data will follow after we have received your payment.
1.4.Can I register on-site?
On-site registration is possible. Please note that the fee is 379 EUR. Cash or credit card payment is required immediately. There are no one-day tickets.
1.5.How do group bookings work?
If your national organization or your local chapter has made a group booking, they will have received a unique code for each participant. Please ask your organization for your code and enter it during the registration process. Your registration will then be marked as “paid”.
1.6.How do I get my invoice?
After full payment, the invoice is available for download in your personal event management system. Use the log-in button on this website.
1.7.How do I get a confirmation of registration?
After full registration you receive an e-mail with your confirmation and payment instructions. You will receive your log-in details for your personal part of the event management system after we have received your payment.
1.8.How can I change my data?
Log-in to the event management system. You get your log-in details via e-mail after registration and payment.
1.9.How can I cancel my registration?
Cancelation is possible. The conference fee will only be refunded in part as described in our Terms & Conditions. Tip: try to find another participant and transfer the registration.
1.10.Is my registration transferable?
Yes it is. Please contact the administration team directly. Please see the Terms & Conditions for the handling fee.
1.11.Where can I check-in?
Check-in is available at the conference center (Stadthalle Braunschweig, Leonhardplatz, 38102 Braunschweig) from June 13th - 16th 2012. Pre-check-in is available at the Braunschweig Chamber of Commerce (IHK), Brabandtstraße 11, 38100 Braunschweig on June 11th and 12th 2012. And maybe on June 13th 2012 at the JCI Lounge at Hanover Airport. As the badge is equipped with a picture, there is no separate check-in for groups!
1.12.How can I get a visa?
Please refer to our website: Registration - > Visa for more information and contact the city administration directly.
1.13.I lost my badge!
Please come to the check-in and bring your passport and registration documents with you. The handling fee for a new badge is 15 EUR.

2. Accommodation / Hotel

2.1.How can I book a hotel room?
Please log-in to the event management system and chose from the list of hotels.
2.2.How do I get confirmation of my hotel booking?
If you finished the hotel booking, you and the hotel both receive confirmation via e-mail.
2.3.How do I get to the event locations?
Most of the locations are marked in the city map and are within walking distance. The use of public transport and shuttle busses is free with your badge.
2.4.How can I use the shuttle busses?
The airport shuttle connects Hanover airport and conference center directly. It is only available on June 13th and 17th 2012. Information about shuttle busses to out-of-town hotels will be available at the information counter in the conference center. A hop-on-hop-off bus goes round the city center on a circuit. You can get on or off at any station. Car shuttles are available near the event locations; they can be used by any participant. Some cars are reserved for special cases.
2.5.What is the charge for car parking?
The parking area at the conference center can be used free of charge. Public parking spaces have differing prices.
2.6.Is there a place for caravans?
A caravan parking area is located near Theodor-Heuss-Str./Eisenbüttler Str.

3. Program

3.1.How do I register for the official JCI training courses?
All JCI training courses (Presenter, Designer, CSR,...) have to be booked in advance at JCI Headquarters website: www.jci.cc
3.2.How do I register for the social program?
Please log into the event management system and choose your program. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be fair and unregister if you cannot take part in an event.
3.3.How to get Gala tickets?
The Gala and the Awards Ceremony will be held together. Participation has to be booked in the event management system. There is no reservation for a certain table or seat, but a suitable number of tables can be marked in advance with a flag by a member of your national board.
3.4.Will there be childcare?
Childcare is organized in cooperation with Circus Dobbelino and the International School in Braunschweig, see Program -> Children’s program. It is free of charge for registered children.
3.5.Will there be a senator program?
There is a special senator program prior to and during the conference. There will be a senators’ lounge near the evening event locations.
3.6.Will there be a first-timer program?
Is this your first visit to an (international) conference? Don’t miss the first-timer workshop! During the registration process or later on in the event management system, please check the first-timer box.
3.7.What are keynote speakers?
A keynote speaker is an outstanding personality from business or society. They give speeches about various themes related to their professions.
3.8.What is the trade show?
The trade show is a place for all sponsors, business people and certain JCI organizations to present themselves to the participants. It’s the main place for business and networking.

4.1.What is JCI?
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs. It has more than 200,000 members and one million alumni all around the world. It is a non-profit organization with representation in over 45 countries in Europe and 120 worldwide. See www.jci.cc
4.2.How can I join JCI?
To become part of our global movement, individuals join a JCI Local Organization within a city district, town or village. Please contact your local or national organization.

5.3.General information
Tap water is drinkable throughout Germany. Taxicabs are marked as taxis and are normally colored beige or black. The drivers ID card is present in the front, fees start around 2.60 EUR and 1.80 EUR/km.
