About JCI Germany
With approximately 10,000 active members JCI Germany is the biggest German association of young entrepreneurs and executives in Germany. Our members are responsible for about 300,000 jobs, 35,000 trainees and turnovers of more than 120 billion euros. They are between 18 and 40 years old. They think business and are committed to doing voluntary work within our network to help in shaping the future of our country.
We are politically independent but not unpolitical. We aim to influence politics to create conditions that will allow future generations to do successful business and to work effectively in Germany. JCI Germany is committed to building a society which supports individual responsibility, a society in which commitment and entrepreneurship are profitable and appreciated and in which family life and professional life are compatible with each other.
As young leaders and entrepreneurs we want to be an example to others, because we are convinced that we have a special responsibility for the society in which we live. We commit our available resources to specific projects. We place particular importance on education and training, on supporting start-ups as well as supporting their ongoing growth and on ensuring the compatibility of family life and professional life.
We want to prepare our members for leadership tasks as we support the philosophy of Junior Chamber International: "create better leaders to create better societies". In order to do so, we offer them a comprehensive programme of seminars and give them a chance to develop their skills, to make new contacts and to broaden their horizons through voluntary work.
